Memberships

Recurring plans that bundle services into a monthly subscription

What memberships do

A membership plan lets a client pay you on a recurring schedule (monthly, quarterly, or annual) in exchange for a set of services each period. For example, an $89/month plan that includes 1 cut and 1 gloss. When the client books a covered service, the visit is charged $0 and one allowance is used.

Create a plan

Open Memberships and choose New plan. Set a name, a price, the billing interval, and the services it covers (the allowance). For each service you pick how many are included per period and whether unused visits roll over into the next period.

After you save, pricing is set up with your payment provider in the background. The plan becomes purchasable once that finishes (you'll see a "Setting up pricing" badge until then).

How clients use it

Subscribed clients see "Covered by your membership" when they book a covered service online, and the visit is free. You can also redeem an allowance in person: open the client's profile, find the membership card, and tap Redeem next to the service. You'll be asked to confirm before the visit is marked as covered.

Subscribers and revenue

The Memberships page shows your active subscriber count, monthly recurring revenue, and the per-plan subscriber breakdown. Each subscriber's status (active, past due, canceled) and renewal date appear in the subscribers list.

Cancellations and failed payments

Cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period, so the client keeps access until then (no proration). If a renewal payment fails, the membership is marked past due and you'll see it in the subscribers list.

Tips

  • Keep the first allowance easy to use so clients feel the value early
  • Use rollover sparingly; a small cap avoids large unused balances
  • Archive a plan to stop new signups without affecting current members
